I was tipped on LinkShare.com by a our last review on The Recliner GM. I noticed a Sports Authority ad on their site and thought, "Wow, finally a legit sporting goods affiliate!"
LinkShare has one of the biggest sets of programs I have seen for any affiliate yet. I could sound like a total newb by just finding it, but I've had enough success with PepperJam lately that I haven't been looking for new affiliates to try out.
Besides Sports Authority, you will find programs for Eastbay, Hanes
, Match.com
, iTunes
, Magazines.com
, and many more.
LinkShare looks like an affiliate we will stick with for a while as it has enough programs to apply to just about every niche. We were starting to feel limited with others and this was just the breath of affiliate fresh air we were looking for!

I've tried out Linkshare, Commission Junction, and Share-A-Sale, along with a few smaller ones...in terms of quality affiliate programs for sports bloggers, I think Linkshare is the best. As for selling stuff, that's the problem for me!
There are actually a lot of quality sports-related affiliate programs out there, from what I've seen. It requires a little looking, but it's worth it.
How do I arrange one of those blog reviews? I think I'm a little timid about it right now, since I still have some tidying up to do, but I would like to get one soon enough.
Yeah I've browsed this lists of affiliates and this seemed to have the most options. So we'll give it a whirl and let you know how it goes.
As for the review, I'll add you to the list that I have going and you can let me know about when you'd like me to finish it. (Your blog looks great btw.)
Yeah I jumped on Linkshare as soon as I moved my blog to the Wordpress software. I love the selection of sports-related companies I can use on my blogs.
I have another affiliate program I am researching and trying to get into that could be solid gold for sports bloggers but I won't let the cat out of the bad just yet. I have not seen it on any blog I have been too. If it works out I will write a post about it on my sports blog earnings site.
Oh by the way the key to finding sports related affiate programs is think to yourself - what would I buy and who would I buy it from? When I did that ended up going to Eastbay and ordering some Jordan shorts and low and behold they have a little link at the bottom of their site that says affiliate program. That led me to Linkshare. EVERY sports-related retailer I personally shop at has an affiliate program link in the footer of their site.
That's a great tip Dannie and I'm interested to see what your new affiliate is. :)
Speaking of Jordan shorts...I just got these the other day and absolutely love 'em.

I love how basketball shorts all have hidden pockets now.
That would be these shorts
Stupid comment thing didn't like that long link.
