Wow…I’m not really sure what else to say about the newest flick in the Batman series. Christian Bale is easily the best Batman ever and will most likely never have that title taken away. Christopher Nolan as the director does such an amazing job at grabbing the darker yet deeper side of Batman than any of the directors before him. (Makes me sick to think of what Joel Schumacher did to this series of movies.) And man, Heath Ledger is ridiculous as the Joker and actually scared the hell out of me a couple of times.
The movie was a little long and that could have been the fact that I was in a theater last night at 3 AM, but it resembled Batman Begins with the fact that the movie could almost have been broken up into 2 separate flicks. I’m glad they didn’t! Your eyes just become glued to the screen even when your body and mind should have been 3 hours into a deep sleep. I’m notorious for falling asleep during movies, but never once did I even blink at this picture.
Opening night at any movie can be a disaster but I had never see anything like I saw last night. The theater we see our movies at ended up showing the Dark Knight in about 10 theaters with some showings returning for 3 AM slots. Almost every showing was sold out and this thing has got to be breaking records by the time this weekend is over. The Indiana Jones and Transformers premiers haven’t got sh%t on Batman.
I won’t go into details on the movie because I hate spoilers, but people, you need to see this. And please don’t wait until next weekend or for DVD; it’s just too perfect of a picture.
“Wow.”

Think acting in this movie could have affected Heath Ledger to aggravate his depression? He really got into that role...
For sure, the acting job he did in this movie is incredible
