Entrecard sent out emails to all its user accounts yesterday morning announcing their brand new toolbar. My first impression is that I will probably uninstall it right after I get done writing this post. I installed the damn thing to give you all some worthwhile info on it, otherwise I have enough toolbars that the last thing I need is a toolbar that does basically nothing.
What does it do?
Not much really. It allows you to login to your account, check out the running number of credits you have, drops you've made, browse through the Entrecard blogs with a couple of arrows, and finally gives you some options like instant purchasing of an ad on the site you are on.
So a positive would be that the toolbar gives you shortcuts to anything on the Entrecard site without actually having to type anything, but do any of us really spend enough time on here that a toolbar will actually make a difference in our user experience? Probably not. Plus, it seemed pretty slow to go from blog to blog using the arrow buttons. While I'm using the service, I plan to keep using Firefox's tabbing.
For the die-hard Entrecardies, I'm sure you'll find this new toolbar useful, but for the casual users like myself, I doubt this thing will every come in handy. Now let me find that uninstall plugin button!

Seems like a waste to me... Ctrl-W and my mouse are 10 times faster
For sure. Click+T and Ctrk+W works wonders in the Entrecard game.
I dropped EC from Cuzoogle all together.
I use a set of batch files that are at http://cheapkeywords.info/Entrecard.html and anyone can use. I had one person tell me that they go 1000 hits from these batches, and they are only in place for the last 10 days or 2 weeks. those hits were measured becasue I target a specific page and not the .com
this site is on my list, that is how I get here.
I installed it and can't get it to do a thing - it just says, "Logging into Entrecard" forever, but never logs in. And I can't figure out how to uninstall it? Gah!
