Writing about your daily blog schedule seems to be a topic that almost every blogger has done. Some do this full time while others do it in their spare time, but they both seem to follow certain paths during their time dedicated to a blog.
Here is a little breakdown of how my blog working time goes starting with the night before...
11:00 PM - I love writing before I got to bed.
This is the time that I find the most motivation and productivity. I think maybe my brain has come down from a day of Stumbling, dropping, commenting, replying and PR maintaining to a point that I can finally do what I love the most, which is write.
7:00 AM - The dreaded morning check up.
My mornings are first hit with a quick check up on the post I had scheduled to run sometime around 6 AM from the night before. Then I run through some lovely emails from friends, commentators, and hopefully potential advertisers! This is also a nice time to see if any big early morning traffic has started.
8:00 AM - 4:00 PM - Yes people I work a full time job and do this.
Through my not so tough workday, I run through emails that come in, check on current happenings in the blog world and even bounce out a couple of posts if need be. Hopefully I've done enough solid work the night before to not have to worry about whippin' out any quick posts. You see, the biggest change I've made over the last 2 months is that I write out enough posts the night before that they will run at scheduled times throughout the day leaving me with plenty of time for promotion and other blog building strategies.
5:00 PM - Time for the dirty work.
My evenings are either spent at the gym, on the golf course or working on the next big blog idea. Anywhere from 5 PM until 10 PM or so, I take out special time to really answer important emails or start working on the next big idea or project I've got cooking up. I also squeeze in 20 minutes here to drop some of those damn Entrecards. These would be my promotional hours!
Almost 11:00 PM - Make any money today?
This is when I take my one opportunity of the day to see if I've actually pulled in any cash. If you constantly check this stuff throughout the day, you will never get anything done and depress the hell out of yourself. Right before I start writing, I do a quick sweep through my affiliates and stat trackers. And think about it, what is better motivation for writing some more posts that to see that bank account has grown?
There you have it! A quick run through of my day as a part time blogger! I know that it all seems pretty vague, but the dirty little details could make this post about 6 pages long. The major point of this post is to get you all to understand that you have to put yourself on some sort of a schedule.
A schedule makes your blog go and it also helps your readers come to know what to expect from you. The last thing you want to do is become inconsistent and leave your readers hanging out to dry.

I actually do not have fixed schedules... all i know is to have at least a post in a day and return the comments of my commenters and give 500EC to a lucky commenter.
My work is flexible as well as unpredictable for I am in a freelance state at the moment... but one thing is for sure, I am checking everything in short intervals and make sure my readers/commenters get some favors back.
You must be a very disciplined person... do you follow all these? I cannot follow a simple rule in my life..^_^
Let's just say I try to stick to this as much as possible. It doesn't happen everyday, thats for sure, but the more I work at following some sort of schedule, the more I get done and the more I see my blog grow.
I am a big fan of writing before bed. Funny though for me that means stuff gets posted as the west coasters are still surfing.
You should look into if time zone affects schedules?
I'm sure it does somewhat. I try to set my first post to run at 6AM PST which is of course 9AM on the east coach which I feel is just about right.
Most people have settled into their day by then and have time to jump through the blog world.
I don't have a schedule, but I do know my blogging time is about to dramatically change (school starts in 12 days :O).
You poor soul Alex. I do not miss school one bit. Maybe Masters one day, but right now I cant even imagine.
