Since we are heavily engulfed in our current contest (Contest of Sports Sexi-ness) we thought a great idea would be to run a quick 6 part series on how to run your own!
Part 1 – Decide the “Why”
This may seem obvious, but the first thing you need to do before starting on this journey is to think of “why” you need to run this contest. Now I don’t mean what prizes you are giving away, I mean, what do you have to gain from this?
Traffic – Do you just need a solid bolt of traffic for a few days?
Subscribers – Do you want more subscribers? Are you trying to build an email list?
Network – Do you want to meet fellow bloggers and build lasting relationships?
Buzz – Do you simply just want more buzz around your blog?
Whatever your reason is for running a contest, you need to be very firm on that thought from the beginning. A solid base for a contest will lead to success!
