Once again the NFL proved that parity is the name of the game for the number one sport in America. This is also likely the reason we all love this sport so damn much. An even playing field is the way we’d all like to see our lives run wouldn’t we?
1. New York Giants
2. Dallas Cowboys
3. San Diego Chargers
4. Pittsburgh Steelers
5. Indianapolis Colts
6. Buffalo Bills
7. Tennessee Titans
8. Jacksonville Jaguars
9. Denver Broncos
10. Philadelphia Eagles
11. New Orleans Saints
12. Tampa Bay Buccaneers
13. New England Patriots
14. Carolina Panthers
15. Washington Redskins
16. Green Bay Packers
17. Chicago Bears
18. New York Jets*
19. Baltimore Ravens
20. Minnesota Vikings
21. Seattle Seahawks
22. San Francisco 49ers
23. Arizona Cardinals
24. Cleveland Browns
25. Houston Texans
26. Kansas City Chiefs
27. Cincinnati Bengals
28. Oakland Raiders
29. Atlanta Falcons
30. Detroit Lions
31. Miami Dolphins
32. St. Louis Rams
*The New York Jets may not be the best team in their conference or division, but they sure as hell are more than compelling to watch. Not only do they have arguably the greatest quarterback in the history of the game playing for them, but they are capable of putting up 56 points? So much for that slow learning curve for the old man, eh?

What?? Why are the Skins 15 and the Cowboys 2?
I just don't think they are that good of a team. Flukes happen all the time...look at Oregon State beating USC. :)
I totally disagree. They made the playoffs last season, nearly won the wild card round, and are 3-1 this season. Jason Campbell is one of the best young QBs in the league and is getting better every game. I'm a homer, but I think they'll prove you wrong!
They are starting to grow on me, so we'll see what happens in the next coming weeks.
The Colts at number 6 still shock me. This seems to put a little too much weight on what we would be expecting to see, not what actually has happened on the field.
Also, while I'm not complaining about their ranking now, expect the Bears to climb way up these rankings by the end of the year. Their defense is going to be giving up late leads very often like they did in their 2 losses, and I think they showed how they are capable of coming up big when it matters. This team is better than anyone outside of Chicago thinks.
The Bears lack of a quarterback and their young running game is why I don't think they'll climb this list.
And the Colts to me, will possibly be top 3 by the end of the year. There is too much talent there for them not to come around soon.
Why are the 0-3 Lions ranked higher than the 1-3 Dolphins, who just beat the New England Patriots?
The 'skins have played the #2,#3,#4, and #5 offenses this season, next week they play the #6 offense, they've held each offense to 100 yards lower than their average...

Ignore it if you will, but, at #15, your list is a JOKE
Whoa Iontop! Let's just look at their chances at making the playoffs. They are the 4th best team in their own division. Enough said.
so if the skins beat philly i think they should be top 5
I agree. And I will be completely proven wrong.
I'm assuming your use of the word "parody" was a deliberate pun. "Parity" is the word used to describe equivalence, "parody" is a word that describes satire. In either case, The Redskins individual statistics through 4 games make them more than the fourth best team in their division. They are actually outperforming the Giants, Eagles and Cowboys in QB rating, Rush yards, receiving yards and tackles (again, individual, while they are close behind in team stats). Every other power ranking I've seen has the 'Skins 7 or better, one has them at #3.
When I first looked at this I thought it must be from another year. Your rankings are dreadful.
That must be why my Pick'em league isn't going so well!
