This may sound completely absurd to many of you Adsense gurus, but I have officially hit the century mark and will finally cash my damn Google Adsense account out! Woohoo!
OK, stop laughing...
The thing is, I rarely use Google Adsense in any fashion except as a small link list at the top of posts to track impressions. In the year I've been blogging, it was a special occasion to see me actually place an Adsense unit in any sort of strategic place to make money from.
So it took a year; oh well! At least I can tell my children someday that I conquered Google after an entire year. Haha.
Let's just say that I'm soooooo glad there are dozens of other ways to make money than Adsense or I would have quit this blogging game months ago.
Anyone else have Adsense stories? How many of you have actually cashed out an account or hit the century mark? I know some of you do this on a monthly basis...you have way more patience than I do.

It's definitely a big day in the history of your blog when you conquer the beast known as Google. Now if I could ever get a cheque or two from Adify I'd be golden. Congrats Kellex!
I've cashed 2 checks since signing up in April. But I have 4 blogs, 1 very active, the other 3 moderately at best.
nice work kellex. I actually boughy my xmas gifts with my google check this time round. :-0)
How long did it take you to cash out. Also I just started to get in the game to making money on my blog and with adsense.
I think I hit the century mark on AdSense about three month after starting my site in August 2007. Then again, my blog deals with tailgating with seems to be centered around products and gear that goes with it. So I guess the key is to find a niche where product usage is a big deal within it, say something like skiing or skateboarding, and your AdSense might be higher just based on that is what people are looking for. I typically cash an AdSense check once a month but it is normally right around the threshold for Google to send me one.
With this site, the ads Google found seemed to be like "make money!" and no one clicks that shit.
On Blaze of Love though, it's been doing well with more sports related ads appearing. Definitely depends on that niche!
Congrats KB! I am a stat checker and I have found that the best ad click through days I get are my best Google search days. The people get there from Google and then click a Google ad to get off the page.
Saying that, I usually start to see some action when a blog gets to be PR 3-4. It was REEAL rough for a long time, but I stuck with Google and I am glad I did.
Interesting stuff. I just haven't utilized their ads really ever and especially not now that I'm selling ads. Glad to see you all having success with it though.
I'll take the guaranteed money and run with it! :P
